As Twitter celebrates a decade in the limelight, we take a look back at some of the best tweets which shows just how much we #lovetwitter.
When you’re ten you tend to do some pretty crazy things, like eating copious amount of cake and sliding around in the mud. Y’know – kid stuff.
Not Twitter though.
For their tenth birthday they decided to pen a heartfelt love letter instead, sharing all their fondest and most talked about moments from over the years.
Pretty cool, right? Not least because it was supported by the #lovetwitter hashtag – which has now been retweeted over 72,000 times!
How Twitter changed the world
The social media giant was instrumental in changing our perspective of a symbol which was largely seen as an afterthought on telephones. Now, hashtags are the definitive way of grouping a subject matter together.
Speaking of subject matter, Twitter is changing the world 140 characters at a time.

Sure there’s been hard times. Like when we didn’t have a clue what to do with it, or when we complained there wasn’t enough characters to write a status, but that’s what makes it so special.
Whatever your opinion is of the Twittersphere, you can’t help but argue it’s been a blast this past ten years.
